Auchan Retail unveils its third lifestore in Luxembourg, an open-space concept connected to its surroundings
To truly change the lives of its customers, Auchan Retail decided to change its retail approach. Over the last few months, pilot stores in every country have been testing the shopping experience of the future. The result of this is the lifestore, which has already been rolled out in Jiaxing city in the Chinese province of Zhejiang, in Turin and, since 28 May 2019, at the Cloche d’Or centre in Luxembourg.
Auchan Retail has today signed with Conad, the Italian cooperative retail group, the sale of almost all the activities of Auchan Retail Italia.
As a campaigner for good, healthy and local, Auchan Retail is using blockchain technology to improve the traceability of the products along its supply chains. The initial testing in Vietnam, alongside Te-Food, a German start-up, has proved to be a success. It is now being rolled out to France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Senegal. From seed to plate, information on all stages of a product’s life is now available to consumers in a fully transparent manner.
