Smart homes rely on multiple connected devices, which often run via their own specific mobile application. To simplify and secure the use of these objects, Leroy Merlin has come up with Enki: a universal application that connects to a box to manage connected objects running on various protocols across a large number of brands.
This innovative solution launched in April 2017 is now taking on a new dimension. Driven by a shared ambition – to facilitate everyone’s daily lives – Auchan Retail, Boulanger and Leroy Merlin have teamed up to create the most extensive ecosystem of interoperable connected devices for smart homes. The Enki platform is currently available across 20 brands and 137 devices, soon to be expanded to more than 35 brands and 200 objects from the end of 2018. And this is just beginning. Auchan Retail, Boulanger and Leroy Merlin have a long-term vision to help Enki grow. They are already extending its reach by making it available at their 927 sales outlets in France and showcasing it on their websites and mobile applications. Going forward, they will add new connected devices to the platform and incorporate new services and features to help consumers get the most out of the possibilities offered.
