An unprecedented food convenience store concept with Hisense
After a test phase carried out before Summer 2017, Auchan Retail China has embarked upon the second stage in the development of its urban, fully phygital, convenience concept - on 25 October, it entered into a partnership with Hisense, a world leader in digital retailing and intelligent hardware. In an increasingly urbanised world, with 4 billion people predicted to be living in towns by 2025, Auchan Retail, the 11th largest food retailer in the world, has opened Auchan Minute in the Yangpu district of Shanghai, China.
This fully automatic point of sale provides city-dwellers with a connected shopping solution, close to their homes, that can be operated via their smartphone. Through this dynamic partnership, Auchan Retail China aims to open several hundred Auchan Minute stores in China before the end of 2017.
